WordPress + WooCommerce power a substantial amount of the internet and are often the first go-to for any business looking to sell online. Stitch Express has built a seamless plugin to enable payments for anyone looking to monetise their online store on these platforms.
Follow the easy steps below to get started with WordPress, WooCommerce and Stitch Express.
Before you get started:
- Make sure you have an activated Stitch Express Account - check out this handy guide to get going if not
- Check that you're running the latest version of WooCommerce and WordPress
Now let's get going!
Activate Stitch Express on WooCommerce
On WooCommerce
Click this link and install Stitch Express on your store
On your Stitch Express Dashboard
- Login to your Stitch Express dashboard
- Navigate to the Connections page
- Click the WooCommerce connecition
- Now follow the steps on the Connections page
- Navigate to the. Stitch Express Plugin Settings on WooCommerce
- Copy and past your Client ID and Client Secret from Step 2 into the Plugin settings on WooCommerce and scroll to the bottom of the page and Save Changes
- Note: Only view your client secret once as it regenerates every time and you will have to repeat this process.
- Add the redirect URL from WooCommerce on Stitch Express, under Step 3 on your Stitch Express dashboard in the following format
- [yourstoredomain]/index.php
How to install the Stitch Pay Later widget on WooCommerce
The Stitch Pay Later widget allows you to show customers how they can pay for a product in instalments directly on your product pages.
This helps customers easily compare:
- The full product price
- The instalment payment option

Before you start
Make sure you are using the latest version of the Stitch Express WooCommerce plugin.
Step 1: Update your plugin
- Go to your list of installed plugins in WooCommerce
- Locate the Stitch Express plugin
- Ensure you are running the latest version
Step 2: Enable the Pay Later widget
- Open the Stitch Express plugin settings
- Locate the section called Pay Later Product Widget Settings
- Enable the widget
- Choose to auto-display it on product pages
Step 3: Customise the widget
You can customise:
- Where the widget appears on the product page
We recommend placing the widget: Just below the product price
This allows customers to easily compare the full price with the instalment option.
Minimum Amounts (Rands) - the minimum amount a product must be for the widget to appear on the product page (default is R100)
- The look and feel to match your store’s theme
Step 4: Save your changes
- Scroll down in the settings
- Click Save changes
Step 5: Preview on your store
- Navigate to a product page on your store
- You will now see the Pay Later widget displayed
Customers will be able to view:
- The total product price
- The available instalment option
