The Payment experience page on your dashboard gives you more control on how your customer's pay.
Payment Methods
Under Payment Methods you can:
- Toggle on and off payment methods as required
- View your fees per method
Pay by Card
Stitch Express utilises Stitch's reliable Pay by Card infrastructure, which is always enabled by default. This allows you to securely accept fast credit and debit card payments (Visa and Mastercard), with 3D Secure authentication to reduce fraud and improve payment success rates.
Apple Pay and Google Pay
Apple Pay and Google Pay are digital payment methods that allow your customers to pay quickly and securely without entering their card details at checkout.
Instead, customers store their card details securely in:
- Apple Wallet (for Apple Pay)
- Google Pay Wallet (for Google Pay)
How it works
At checkout:
- Customers will see Apple Pay or Google Pay as a payment option, depending on their device
- They can select the option and authenticate the payment using biometrics (such as Face ID, fingerprint, or device passcode)
- The payment is then completed instantly
Note:
- Apple Pay will be shown to customers using any device
- Google Pay will be shown to customers who have Google Wallet enabled on their Android device
Capitec Pay
Capitec Pay is a card-free payment method available for Capitec bank account holders. A payment is made directly from a customer's bank account into your Stitch Express account. As one of SA's biggest banks, with over 21 million customers you'll see this become a popular payment method for your store.
Some of the benefits of Capitec Pay are:
- It's super convenient - the customer does not need to enter any bank card details
- It's highly secure - all transactions must be approved in the Capitec Pay app
- It's cheaper - Capitec Pay fees start at 1.9% per transaction (ex VAT)
How to activate Capitec Pay?
- Navigate to Payment Experience on your dashboard
- Navigate to Payment methods
- Toggle on the switch for Capitec Pay
- A window will pop-up and you will need to accept the Ts and Cs related to Capitec Pay
- Once accepted click "Request access"
- Once you have requested access, we will share your business details with Capitec
- Capitec will take up to 4 business days to decide to activate Capitec Pay for your account
- Don't worry, though, we'll let you know when Capitec Pay is active
- All your other Stitch Express payment methods will continue to work as per normal
Stitch Pay Later
Stitch Express Pay Later enables customers to pay in 3, 4, or 6 months’ interest-free instalments, while you receive funds the next day as with any other transaction.
How to activate Stitch Pay Later?
- Navigate to Payment Experience on your dashboard
- Navigate to Payment methods
- Toggle on the switch for Stitch Pay Later
- Accept T&Cs
Customising the Payment Pages for your Customer
You can customise the payment method selection screen to match your brand.
To do this, upload your brand logo and set your brand name in the section below the payment methods.
This ensures a consistent checkout experience for your customers and reinforces your brand throughout the payment journey.
- Upload your brand logo, ensuring it meets the required dimensions
- Update your brand name if needed
- Note: This is the name your customers will see on their bank statement
Once complete, your branded payment experience will be visible to your customers at checkout.
