Can I do a partial refund?

Yes - you can refund a portion of the original transaction amount.

When you start a refund, the amount field will be pre-filled with the full transaction amount. You can change this to any amount lower than the original.

Step by step

1. Open the transaction history on your terminal.
2. Tap the Refund button.
3. Select Refund type: Linked Refund or Un-Linked Refund.
4. Find and tap the original transaction.
5. The full amount will be shown - clear it and enter the partial amount you want to refund.
6. Enter your Supervisor PIN when prompted.
7. Ask the customer to tap or insert their card.

Note: If the transaction was made today and has not yet been settled, the terminal may show a Void button instead of a Refund button. A void cancels the full transaction instantly. To do a partial refund on the same day, your terminal needs to be running the latest app version. Contact Stitch support if you’re unsure.
