Yes - you should allow the permissions when prompted.
When you first open the Stitch Core Payment app on your terminal, it may ask for certain permissions. These are required for the app to work properly and process payments.
The permissions typically include:
- Access to the device’s hardware (card reader, NFC antenna, printer)
- Network access to connect to the payment server
- Storage access for caching transaction data
Without these permissions, the terminal won’t be able to read cards, connect to the payment network, or print receipts.
Step by step
- Open the Stitch Core Payment Service app on your terminal.
- When the "Permissions Required" prompt appears, tap Continue to proceed (you must accept all permissions to use the app).
- When asked "Allow Core Payment Service to access this device's location?", select Precise, then tap While using the app.
- When asked "Allow Core Payment Service to send you notifications?", tap Allow.
- When asked "Allow Core Payment Service to make and manage phone calls?", tap Allow.
- To grant full location access, go to the Location permission settings for Core Payment Service and select Allow all the time.
- Once all permissions are granted, the app will load and you can log in with your merchant credentials.
If you accidentally denied a permission, you can usually re-enable it in the terminal’s Settings under App Permissions.
