Stitch Pay Later lets your customers split a purchase into interest-free instalments over 3, 4 or 6 months (depending on their eligibility), on purchases up to R25,000.
How it works for you
- You're paid the full amount upfront, minus fees, the next day, like any other sale.
- You carry no risk. Repayments are between the customer and Stitch.
- The fee is 5.7% excl VAT per transaction.
Turn it on
- On your dashboard, go to Payment Experience then Payment Methods.
- Toggle on Stitch Pay Later and accept the Ts & Cs.
On Shopify: add Stitch Pay Later as its own checkout option
Install the Stitch Pay Later app so shoppers see Pay Later as a separate payment option at checkout, next to Stitch Express. Customers looking for instalments find it straight away, without opening the Stitch payment page first.
Install Stitch Pay Later from the Shopify App Store. It's free to install and works with your existing Stitch Express account.
Keep the Stitch Express app installed for cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Leave Stitch Pay Later switched on under Payment Experience. If you turn it off, Pay Later checkouts through the app won't go through.
Show Pay Later on your product pages
The Pay Later widget shows customers the instalment price next to the full price. Place it just below the product price.
Shopify
- Open the Stitch Express Checkout app and click Add Stitch Pay Later Widget.
- In the theme editor, drag the widget to sit under the product price.
- Set the minimum product price for the widget to show (default R100) and the logo colour, then save.
WooCommerce
- Make sure you're on the latest Stitch Express plugin.
- In the plugin settings, find Pay Later Product Widget Settings and turn on Auto Display Widget.
- Choose the placement and colour, then save. Placement can vary by theme. If it doesn't look right, email us and we'll help.
